Alka Joshi, author of The Henna Artist (Harper Collins, March 2020), will discuss the techniques her fictional character employs to become a celebrated henna artist to the elite of Jaipur. Alka will read from the novel, discuss the research behind it, the inspiration for the book, and talk about what it takes to be noticed in today’s busy world. She is a graduate of Stanford University (BA) and California College of Arts (MFA). She is currently working on the sequel to The Henna Artist, which Harper Collins has also recently bought.
